This great Alabama fooser has won more than 70 times on the major professional tour and has earned a record 36 World Championship titles during her amazing career, 15 more than any other player. One of the sport's truly dominating performers, she earned a remarkable nine straight world singles championships from 1986-94 and added doubles titles in eight of those years. Still considered one of the sport's top female foosers, Cindy has won five of the past seven singles titles at the Worlds and added a second straight doubles title at the recent Kick-Off event  with partner Dawn Duquette. The incredible Ms. Head has also won the singles title at the Las Vegas season-opener seven times in the nine years that it has been held, losing only to arch-rival Moya Tielens in 2002 and 2006. Cindy continues to be one of the most dynamic players on the pro tour, an intimidating and aggressive player who is a difficult match-up for anyone she plays. When you're at a tour event and you hear her signature phrase "Boom Baby" echoing across the ballroom, you'll know that the great Cindy Head has scored again, and is probably on her way to yet another tournament victory.

A former pro player, Jim Stevens moved to the broadcast booth in the early 1990's and created the art of "fooscasting". He formed Inside Foos Productions in 1994 with partner (and top lady player) Christina Fuchs and since then they have covered more than 100 state, regional and major pro tour events. Jim's rapid-fire style of play by play commentary and knowledge of the game have helped make him one of the most respected individuals on the pro tour.

Jim Wiswell was one of the sport's most overpowering forwards during a short but successfule career that began in Minnesota in the middle 1970s. Jim played in a remarkable 29 open finals during the years 1977-80, winning nineteen times, including victories at the $250,000 World Championships in 1979 in open doubles, and 1980 in the mixed doubles event. "Wiz" and his steady partner Doug Furry claimed the first-ever Super Doubles title in 1978. Wiswell, who passed away in 1981, possesed one of the fastest, most powerful pull shots in the history of the sportmaking him a very intimidating opponent.

Mike Bowers was one of the sport's earliest champions, notching victories at both the 1973 and 1974 Tournament Soccer National Championships in singles. Considered one of the greatest goalies ever, he teamed with Tim Burns to win the world doubles title in 1980 on the Tournament Soccer tour and won world honors with Todd Loffredo on Dynamo tables in 1983. In a remarkable performance at the 1997 Masters, Mike became the only player to win a major tour title while a member of the Hall of Fame, winning open doubles with Scott Wydman at the age of 45. Bowers won "Player of the Year" honors in 1977, and was voted "Player of the Decade" for the 1970s.

Considered one of the truly great table-soccer perfromers of all time, Doug paired with the late Jim Wiswell to form one of the sport's most successful championship teams, "Wiz and Furr". This Minnesota legend won major titles in singles and doubles, playing both forward and goalie and was one of the smartest competitors to ever play the game. His more than twenty open tour titles included wins in Super Singles in 1977, Super Doubles in 1978, and Open Doubles at the $250,000 World Championships in 1979. Doug, who retired in 1984, remains to this day one of the sport's most legendary names.

March 2001: Texas Great Steve Simon Named Newest Hall of Fame Inductee

Considered one of the greatest players from the "golden era" of foosball, push-kicking Texan Steve Simon was inducted into the Foosball Hall of Fame in a heart-felt ceremony held at the recent season opener in Las Vegas. Simon, who was a star on two different styles of table during his remarkable career, became the twentieth former player, promoter or contributor to be elected into the prestigious hall, which recognizes the individuals who set the early standards and helped to pave the way for today's top performers.

Brent and partner Mike Belz formed one of the strongest teams of the 1970s. They won several titles, including the 1976 World Doubles title on the Tournament Soccer tour. He ended the 1976 season as the tour's top money winner. One of the greatest defensive goalies of all time, Bednar was considered the best "racer" in the sport's history.

Patterson was the founding father of coin-operated foosball in the United States, importing tables from Germany, built according to his own specifications in 1962. He was also involved with the running of the first local tournaments in 1969. One of the game's true pioneers.

Bob, a former Dallas tavern owner, designed the first American-made table, the Tornado, in 1970. Setting a standard of table quality that continues to this day, Hayes built a durable piece of equipment that would withstand the rigors of heavy everyday use. This allowed foosball to become a commercial vending success and help make the game more popular throughout the country .

The mastermind behind the original pro foosball tour, Peppard ran the first-ever national championship tournament as a $1,500 event in 1972 in Missoula, Montana. His monumental 1974 event, The $50,000 International Championships, was the first big-money championship in the sport's history. In 1975 he created the first professional foosball tour and proceeded to give away more than $3,000,000, in over 100 major tournaments through 1980. His style of promotion and the general tournament format of his "Million Dollar Tour" helped provide a blueprint for today's professional events.
