Oklahoman Tommy Adkisson exploded onto the national scene back in 1993 when he won both Open Doubles (with Russ King) and Open Singles at the World Championships, while also finishing second in Mixed Doubles. Tommy won 8 major titles during the 1990s, including two other world titles.

Since first exploding onto the professional foosball circuit back in 1993 Louis Cartwright has made a trip to the winner's circle nine different times on the major pro tour, including this year's Open Doubles event at the worlds playing with Tom Yore. During that 1993 season, Louis came from nowhere to win open titles at the year's first three major events. He grabbed the Open Singles title at both the Tour Kickoff and U.S. Open, and earned doubles honors at the Masters event in Atlanta with Gus Trevino. Cartwright went on to earn five more titles in the next three years, including Masters and World Singles championships in 1996.
