During that 1993 season, Louis came from nowhere to win open titles at the year's first three major events. He grabbed the Open Singles title at both the Tour Kickoff and U.S. Open, and earned doubles honors at the Masters event in Atlanta with Gus Trevino. Cartwright went on to earn five more titles in the next three years, including Masters and World Singles championships in 1996.
