MOYA TIELENS

HOME: Vancouver, British Columbia
POSITION: Forward
SHOT: Pull Shot
MAJOR TITLES: 20

Canadian superstar Moya Tielens captivated the foosball world with her amazing Mixed Doubles performance at the 2004 Hall of Fame Classic in Las Vegas. At that season-opening event, Tielens teamed with Garrett Scherkenbach to win the mixed title, becoming the first woman to win a major USTSA open title while playing the entire tournament at the forward position. Tielens also "doubled" at the 2005 World Championships, winning Women's Doubles for the fourth straight year, and Mixed Doubles with Fernando Rosa, her first title ever playing the goalie position. Moya's smoothe and effective five-row and intelligent pull-shot have earned her a total of twenty career major championships, with eighteen of them coming in just the past four seasons. Moya, whose first tour win came at the 1997 World Championships with Laurette Barton, has earned six world titles in the last four years and has moved into a class of her own when it comes to discussing the sport's top lady-forwards.
